Dr. Wm. Madison West
Born in Tennessee, studied medicine by apprenticeship. Married Elizabeth Jane Reynolds; had seven children. In 1874 came to Hamilton County. A church leader, he farmed, practiced medicine. Gave land for West Point Cemetery-- named for him.
